Memory places are cultural and historical monuments that connect the present with the past. A Jewish proverb says that "conscious forgetting prolongs exile, the secret of salvation is memory", which is a kind of metaphor for the relationship between the past and the future and a warning that indicates what happens when events from the past are suppressed and forgotten. In order to maintain the culture of remembering certain tragic moments from the past of Belgrade, here we will present material monuments that preserve the memory of those events.
